  JW covid-19 victims in the Netherlands

  from an excellent and trustfull elder source, i heard today.

  that in the netherlands, 440 jw's have covid-19 and 11 jw's have died.. g. .

  I have heard the same thing. It was in a letter from the branch.

  Death rate seems to be twice as high as in the general population. This may be because it's a too small sample, and/or because JW (here) have a much higher average age compared to the general population.

  In times like these, when devastating loss hits like us like a ton of bricks, it's painful truth stings: life doesn't come again.

  That's not vinyl, it's those fake wood floor boards (dunno what they're called in English...)

  Ah yes the left hand....now do I hold my coffee with the left hand because I'm left handed, or because I'm snapping the picture with my phone in my dominant hand?

  And yeah, I'm white as can be. Maybe my fake name on here may give some impression as to which region in the world I'm from.

  Then again, over the years I have already divulged enough information about myself on here and in the exjw reddit that enable a good spy to identify me. Together with other random stuff on the internet I think you should be able to find my full name, city of residence, and schooling and work details, and family tree.

  It's very prudent of you to think about the safety of Simon, this board, and yourself.

  I also think you're setting yourself up for a lot of extra work, while the documents will have a lower availability.

  People who are here right now can ask for the documents, but what about someone who might need these documents a few years from now?

  They won't know the documents exist, and if they did they might not be able to get them from you anymore.

  I kindly and strongly suggest using a safe, anonymous and longterm file hosting platform.

  There are several JW related websites out there that safely host all kinds of JW document, including the ones Watchtower doesn't want anyone to see.

  For example, avoidjw.org uses faithleaks.org to safely store the files.

  Would it be possible for you to leak your documents to them, adding to the repository of JW related documents rather than having only a few people on this board read them?

  Of course it's entirely up to you and your efforts in getting these documents out in the open are very much appreciated either way.

  A discovery concerning 1975 as I am going through old Watchtower literature

  i think everyone has heard about the video at the convention a few years back where an older ‘brother’ relates that “some were selling their homes” pre 1975, and it makes it look like the rank and file are stupid.

  it shifts the blame to the r&f.

  no mention of the km that advocated it.. and you have all seen the km that said it, and that it was the may 1974 km.. however, it was not.

  Btw I checked on wol.jw.org

  If I look up the English KM 05/74 and synchronize the infamous article to Dutch I get the same article but in KM 12/74, with statistics specifically for The Netherlands.

  Of course you can't do this check to sync US English to Canadian English, but it's clear Watchtower isn't trying to hide this or cover it up (at least not by rewriting old KMs or messing with dates)
